We’re looking for chef (à la carte)

Dampsentralen is a restaurant and meeting place at Pir in Ålesund. We serve great food from morning to evening, with a strong focus on quality ingredients and relaxed atmosphere.

Our menu is centered around salads, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza – simple dishes made really well.

Now we’re looking for someone to join our kitchen and work with our à la carte menu.

We also host events and gatherings in our venues, and catering for happenings and special occasions is an important part of the job.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • has experience from a professional kitchen

  • is confident working à la carte service

  • values structure, cleanliness and good routines

  • is efficient and keeps a high level of quality under pressure

  • is reliable and flexible

  • communicates well with colleagues

  • thrives in a young and dynamic environment with humor, energy, and a fast pace

Position: 100% permanent position
Work hours: Working hours are mostly evenings and weekends. We are closed on Sundays.
